About Molesta Floral & Greenhouses

Molesta Floral & Greenhouses has been serving West Michigan somce the Molesta brothers, Frank and Jake, founded a produce business on the southeast boundary of Grand Rapids in 1905. When the refrigerated railroad car was invented several years later the produce business became fiercely competitive. Frank and Jake, and now Frank's son Adrian, were soon looking for a more profitable way to make a living. The focus of the business soon changed from produce to spearmint.

Spearmint was a highly sought after product in the 1920's due to the diffulty of obtaining the roots. Soon, Molesta was the leading supplier of spearmint to the luxury liners on the east coast. Business was good during the roaring 20's until the depression hit and wiped out the family's cash reserves. Looking to the future with the businesses continued in mind, the focus became flowers. Roses, geraniums and lillies have become the main cash crops at Molesta.

Today Adrian's son John and grandson David are running the company. Molesta Floral now covers over five acres and supplies many supermarkets and small shops with fresh flowers and annuals. The company has also expanded into a plantscape division, which places and maintains plants in office buildings around West Michigan.

At Molesta Floral & Greenhouses, we are dedicated to serving your floral needs above and beyond expectations.

Our shop is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

We are closed on Sundays.

A local delivery fee of $6.95 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local delivery area, this fee may vary.)

U.S. orders must be received before 1:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.

We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee it.

We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays. Deliveries requested on this day will be delivered the following business day.

Delivery of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed.

We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the Internet.
